Frequently Asked Questions

How does hardware-locked activation work?

AtacamaODR uses offline Ed25519 asymmetric cryptography. When you launch the app, it reads your macOS hardware UUID directly from IOKit. Your activation key is signed with our master private key; the app verifies it locally in nanoseconds without ever connecting to an external licensing server.

Can enterprise air-gap mode be bypassed?

No. When the Enterprise Air-Gap switch is engaged, all HTTP socket creation to cloud endpoints is physically blocked in the compiled Mach-O daemon. Requests containing unsupported tokens fail closed on-device rather than egressing to public LLM APIs.
